Kim Kross, Chief Operating Officer, Big Blue Marble Academy, selected as a Spring 2022 Alliance

The Exceptional Women Alliance Foundation (EWA) announces that after an expansive search and intensive interview process Kim Kross, Chief Operating Officer, Big Blue Marble Academy, was selected to join the Spring 2022 EWA Cohort.


Kim has a distinguished career leading the implementation of major programs and initiatives at global, educational institutions. She is an experienced executive in start-up and hyper-growth organizations, specializing in scaling businesses from infancy to maturity.


“Kim has a knack for education. Not only has she dedicated years to bettering educational institutions, but she also leads and guides organizations as they mature into thriving businesses,” said Larraine Segil, Chair and CEO of EWA. "We are thrilled Kim is joining EWA and look forward to her contributions in our growing network,” added Segil.

Prior to Big Blue Marble Academy, Kross served as Chief Operating Officer at Elevate K-12, where she spent several years growing and evolving the live-streaming instruction product through building the operations and academics teams from start up to high-growth and scaling teams. Prior to that, she served as Vice-President of Partner Operations for Amerigo Education where she oversaw mid-west operations, and nationwide operational best practices and program implementation.


Kim has served in many other roles including, Senior Director of Program Development and Management at the Meritas International Family of Schools, Executive Director of Product Engineering at Wall Street English, and Senior Director of New Products and Services at Sylvan Learning Center. She holds an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Technology Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and received a B.S. in Management from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
